PBIS (TISBIS) Overview

The Positive Behavior Information System (PBIS) is an online discipline tracking software system that allows teachers and school administrators to record, track, and monitor student behavior. PBIS takes the place of a paper referral system, and it has many advantages that help schools create a successful school-wide behavior plan.  A referral or behavior incident can be entered in the system in less than 15 seconds by a teacher, aide, or any authorized person via a secure, protected website.  Once the incident is entered, the behavior data is stored and can be retrieved or edited in a variety of ways.

Listed below are some of key features of the PBIS School Behavior Software:

Data Reports School adminstrators can create custom reports for individual students, classrooms, grade levels, or the entire school. Administrators can also search for behavior incidents by location, violation, time period, and other customizable search criteria. These reports help school administrators create data-driven solutions to school behavior problems.

Facilitate Teacher/Parent Communication Many parents feel like they don't know what is going on in the classroom, especially when it comes to behavior incidents. PBIS provides an easy way for copies of behavior incidents to be automatically sent to parents' email addresses when the incident is entered.

IEP and SST Reports PBIS provides several student reports that are very useful for IEP and SST meetings. You can pull up a student's behavior history for any indicated time period and find improvement, digression, and other helpful trends.

Easy & Quick PBIS is very easy to use, and a teacher can easily enter an incident in about 15 seconds. Teachers will instantly see how useful and easy PBIS is for their own classroom management.

Easy Upload To help you get started, we can quickly add all of the students at your school to PBIS.

Track Victims and Associates PBIS allows multiple students to be tied to a single event as victim or offender. This gives your school the ability to quickly see problem groups of students and separate them. It also brings repeat victims to the attention of your staff so you can provide needed coaching or intervention.

Student Reflection PBIS has an innovative feature that allows students to log onto their student account and enter a behavior reflection when they violate a school rule. The behavior reflection prompts the student to fill out details of their incident and then answer some reflective questions about the incident. The student reflection is saved in the database and optionally emailed to a parent or guardian. If a teacher is in the middle of a lesson when a behavior incident occurs, the student can be sent to the computer to fill out the incident and reflection. This gives the student time to cool down and think about what he or she did, and it also allows the teacher to focus on teaching the other students.
